Beginning gymnastics at the age of 3, Courtney excelled as a Prep Optional Advanced gymnast in her final years as a USAG competitor. Continuing to pursue the sport she loved while attending Rhode Island College, Courtney captained the gymnastics team during both her Junior and Senior years. Her best season came in 2013 as she qualified for the Division III National Championships on Balance Beam. She earned MVP honors for her team while at RIC during both the 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 seasons.
In her final season, Courtney was presented with the prestigious ECAC Athlete of the Year Award for her amazing talents, leadership, and true persona of a DIII collegiate gymnast. Courtney graduated magna cum laude in 2014 with a degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Science and a minor in coaching.
During high school, Courtney earned All-State and All-Division honors, captained her team, and represented the State of Rhode Island at the 2010 Senior National Gymnastics Invitational Meet in Florida. Courtney was also named Most Spirited on her high school team, and she continues to be a great role model and inspiration to the girls she coaches, encouraging them with her genuine, energetic spirit!
