Our Future Team is an invitation only class intended to prepare young gymnasts for a future on one of our competitive teams, specifically the Junior Olympic program. Girls will come for one 2-hour class once a week. We will work on body shaping, specific skill drills, and learn proper technique for both the dance and acrobatic elements on the four Olympic competitive events. Our Future Team gymnasts will not compete in competitions as part of this class.
Preschool gymnastics class is an hour long introduction to basic gymnastics skills. Preschool gymnasts will learn skills on three out of the four competitive events (floor exercise, uneven bars, and balance beam) as well as learn motor and listening skills. There is a maximum 5:1 ratio in this class, which is offered to children ages 3 to 5 years old. Participants in this class MUST be able to complete activities independent of their parents. Parents are not allowed in the gym with their children.
An adult is expected to actively participate with their child in this 45-minute class, designed to enhance a child’s motor, listening, and social skills through fun gymnastics-oriented activities. The accompanying adult MUST be from the same immediate family and live in the same house as the gymnast. This class is offered to children ages 18 months up to 3 years. There is a maximum 6:1 ratio in this class.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 regulations, this program will be paused until further notice. This is a drop-in program for children ages 2-10. Parents looking to get their children some exercise in a safe environment can supervise their children in the gymnastics area. None of the high bars, high beams, or vaults may be used during this time. Obstacle courses and stations will be set up and overseen by an instructor, but this is not a structured class. A parent or guardian must accompany their child(ren) in the gym.
